Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts (FH Dortmund) has applied for a Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education project under the Erasmus+ programme, joining forces with five esteemed universities across Europe. The partner institutions include:
- Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway
- Universidad del País Vasco / Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU) , Spain
- KU Leuven, Belgium
- Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania
- Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, Ukraine
This collaborative effort aims to enhance the quality and relevance of higher education institutions through international cooperation, innovative practices, and strengthened partnerships.
The project also addresses the growing need for graduates and companies to navigate a more successful and manageable digital transformation, as well as the need for educators to prepare students for the projects of the digital era.
The main objectives of the project align with the Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships action, which seeks to:
- Improve the quality of activities and practices of participating institutions.
- Expand international collaboration beyond traditional sectors.
- Strengthen the capacity of organisations to work transnationally and across disciplines.
- Address shared priorities in education, training, youth, and sports.
- Foster transformation and innovation at institutional and sectoral levels.
Additionally, the project titled “Education for Project Management & Projects (Edu4PMP)” addresses two major needs:
- The necessity for graduates and companies to successfully navigate digital transformation.
- The need for educators to better prepare students for the projects of the digital era.
To achieve these goals, the project sets out the following objectives:
- Develop the digital transformation & digital competence of graduates.
- Enhance project management skills among graduates.
- Train educators and integrate them into the EuroPIM network to strengthen cross-border cooperation
By engaging in this Erasmus+ initiative, FH Dortmund and its partners will contribute to advancing higher education in Europe and beyond. The project will provide students, teachers, and researchers with opportunities to develop new skills, share expertise, and participate in a truly international academic environment.
