From March 23rd to 27th the international Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) are taking place within the EUCLIDES network.
FH Dortmund is hosting two Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) “Automotive Systems Block Weeks” and “Software Engineering Project” simultaneously on campus.
The Automotive Systems Block Week brings together around 35 participants from eight European higher education institutions across seven countries. At the same time, the Software Engineering Project BIP is held at IDiAL in the User Innovation Center (UIC), with approximately 30 students from seven universities in five European countries.
Around 70 students from FH Dortmund’s international master’s programmes are also participating in seven partner BIPs within the EUCLIDES network, hosted by partner institutions across Europe, including:
- Free University of Bozen (Italy) – Digital and Sustainable Transition in the Automotive Industry
- Polytechnic University of Lisbon (Portugal) – Sustainable Engineering in Action: From Idea to Impact
- UCLL (Belgium) – Towards a Smart and Sustainable World
- University of the Basque Country (Spain) – Power Electronics: Power and Digital Design
- HELHa Mons (Belgium) – Green Datacenters: Achieving Business Requirements and Energy Sobriety
- Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania) – Innovative VR/AR Marketing Applications
- KU Leuven (Belgium) – On the Path Towards Energy-Wisdom
The KU Leuven, our part of the EuroPIM Consortium, will host 78 sudents (including 33 international students from partner universities FH Dortmund, UPV/EHU, EAU, GSU and NU-ZP) and speakers from KU Leuven (BE), FH Dortmund (DE), UPV/EHU (ES), RUB (DE), KNUCA (UA), LPNU (UA), ISEL (PT). 13 sessions by international speakers and companies will be organized in the frames of the block week, which includes the teams working on the long-term cross border innovation project as part of the Erasmus+ NomadTrail project.
Another EuroPIM Consortium partner, KTU, will host students from FH Dortmund and IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences for exploring together how Virtual and Augmented Reality can become powerful tools for modern marketing. About their experience you can read here.
The synchronized BIP week is a key element of the EUCLIDES network concept. It enables partner universities to run their international block weeks simultaneously, strengthening exchange, mobility, and collaboration across Europe.
In addition, several lecturers from FH Dortmund are actively involved in partner BIPs within the network.
“The parallel implementation of BIPs within the EUCLIDES network creates a unique learning environment in which international collaboration is truly lived. For me, this week is special every time, as it shows how vibrant European teaching and learning can be. At the same time, students gain valuable competences through practice-oriented and project-based learning – they work in international teams, develop intercultural skills, and broaden their academic and personal horizons far beyond the traditional classroom.” — Ekaterina Hermann, EUCLIDES and BIP Coordination at FH Dortmund
With this coordinated format, FH Dortmund and its European partners highlight the importance of innovative international teaching and foster intercultural exchange and collaboration across borders.
