BIP “Innovative VR/AR Marketing Applications” at KTU 2026

It is inspiring to witness the international energy at the KTU School of Economics and Business during this year’s ERASMUS Blended Intensive Program (BIP), themed “Innovative VR/AR Marketing Applications”.

Students from KTU, University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund (Germany), and IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences (Austria) are working together to explore how Virtual and Augmented Reality can become powerful tools for modern marketing.

Alongside intensive workshops, participants have also had the opportunity to discover the local culture of Kaunas. The program has already included a visit exploring the visionary art of M. K. Čiurlionis, as well as a behind-the-scenes tour of the Žalgiris Arena, offering students a glimpse into Lithuania’s cultural and sporting heritage.

The program has now reached an exciting turning point as teams move from ideas to practice. Students begin the development of their VR/AR application prototypes and business plans tailored for Žalgiris Arena and Volfas Engelman, combining marketing strategy with software engineering to create solutions for partner organizations. We are grateful to the project partners for this exciting collaboration opportunity.

We look forward to the innovative results and the final presentations that will emerge from this creative international exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration.
