Over the course of five days, ERASMUS + Work4CE project “Cross-domain competences for healthy and safe work in the 21st century” meetings held at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven’s De Nayer campus, where the project partners actively participated in discussions on a number of critical topics aimed at advancing the project’s tasks. The event also acted as a platform for networking, knowledge sharing and brainstorming sessions. A key area of focus was the fine-tuning of activities for 2024. Deliberations focused on adapting project activities to meet the needs and challenges of the current year, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. Strategies for optimizing results and addressing emerging priorities were discussed.

Open Educational Resources (OER) also took center stage during the meeting. The creation, dissemination and use of OER for the benefit of project participants and stakeholders was debated. Subcontracting issues were also covered in detail such as remaining budget, dates and decisions to subcontract. The objective was to ensure that subcontracted services fit in with the overall objectives of the project. Future Train-the-Trainer (TtT) sessions, using existing Work4CE materials, to be held at partner universities were discussed. Debates focused on training educators to effectively use the project materials. In addition, partners were asked to provide updates on the modules they are currently using.

A new feature of these sessions was the input and consultation of external expert Dirk Van Merode on several aspects of the project, such as the status reporting on pilot teaching, quality management and dissemination strategies. His experience enriched the process with valuable insights and recommendations, contributing to the overall project.
