Online Spring School on Selected Perspectives on Data Science (ViMaCs)

The Online Spring School (ViMaCs) took place via the online platform MS Teams, where teachers from all 4 partner universities taught the lectures/workshops on:  

• Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics,  

• Business Intelligence and Decision Making,  
• Cloud Based Data Processing Systems  
• Data Acquisition and Processing. 

Moreover, participants applied their knowledge by solving the case study provided by Luxoft company. 

For the comfortable usage and the coordination of the workshop, the Platform for the Online Spring School was created, where all participants and guests could find the schedule, additional learning materials, and information of the teamwork and case study. 

During the Spring School, 7 lecturers from the 4 universities were holding a lecture and making the workshops on the Online Spring School on Data Science topics. 

The 28 master, bachelor students, and post-docs from 4 ViMaCs partner universities and additional Ukrainian University (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv) participated in the event. They were distributed to 5 teams to work under the case study. The solutions for the case study from 5 groups were presented to the representatives of the Luxoft company on the last date of the School. The company’s feedback was very high. There might be also future cooperation between Luxoft and some of the teams, to continue the development of the case in real life.
