Block Week "Quality Management" 2020

The main focus: Quality and Product Lifecycle Management

The Master students from FH Dortmund of the programs “European Master of Project Management” and “Master Digital Transformation” took part in the Block Week of their partner university UPV/EHU Bilbao, even though the travel restrictions did not allow them to join personally in Spain. The university chose a hybrid teaching approach so that the students from Dortmund could follow the lectures in live streams, as well as exclusive online sessions, while the Spanish students came together in the presential class.

Block Week focused on two topics: the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model and Product Lifecycle Management. During lectures, exercises, and group works, the students got to know the new EFQM model and its application, Project Management Standards, and the use of Open Life Cycle Assessment software (OpenLCA). Following Block Week, the participants will dive deeper into the topics by putting the theory into practice in their study projects.
