Target Group:
Master Students from Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts (FH Do), National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” (NU-ZP), West Ukrainian National University (WUNU), Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture (KNUCA) and Lviv Polytechnic National University (LPNU).
The master student from other universities are also welcomed to take part in the event.

Course Description:
The course of Summer School, based on the ViMaCs project funded by DAAD, is covering such topics as:

  • Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics,
  • Business Intelligence and Decision Making,
  • Cloud Based Data Processing Systems,
  • Data Acquisition and Processing,
  • Machine Learning Ops (MLOps).

Course Description:
Digitalization in private and professional domains is influencing intensely and sometimes even revolutionizing people’s life, the way they interact with systems, the way they interact between each other, the way a society changes. Within this course those influences will be addressed from two different viewpoints. From an analytical perspective, former and current developments and their influences will be analyzed and then projected on future trends. From a constructive perspective, those potential influences of e.g. a product or service currently in development will be taken into account to shape the prospective solution.

Course Description:
Groups of max. 3 students will each work on an robotic demonstrator to implement self-defined use-cases applying newly learned features (e.g. ROS or navigation).

Winter School Information

The Dortmund International Winter Schools are a one-week (Monday to Friday) intensive educational programme designed for Master students from different universities to deepen their knowledge and experience in one of the offered streams, which change with every seasonal School.

The students meet to listen to the various lectures given by international academic experts and company representatives. Then they have a chance to work together on selected business cases during the group projects and workshops.

Aside from learning valuable academic insights and hard skills, our students also boost their soft skills by interacting with peers and instructors from different countries during various social events.

Places are strictly limited.

Please check out the prerequisites for the stream (to be announced) you are most interested in and the current availability of places. Assuming there are still places available, you can register your interest in joining the desired stream via the link above (to be announced).

The School is free of charge for all FH students and students from our partner universities.

The Dortmund International Winter School takes place at the following locations:
