Sustainability and Quality in Project Management
1st-5th July, 2019
Sustainability is one of the most important challenges of our time. How can we develop prosperity, without compromising the life of future generations? We are looking for a balance among economical, environmental, and social and human issues – a long term balance. The integration of sustainability in project management is very important because projects initiate changes – and changes must be shaped by sustainability criteria.
Project management standards like PMBOK® or ICB are extremely poor regarding sustainability issues. These standards are more than 10 years behind modern management approaches.
Research is called out to bridge this paradox by capturing multi and trans-disciplinary inquiry synergies and breaking up knowledge and expertise silos.
- Knowledge of core topics of project management – like presented in PMBOK
- Knowledge of elementary concepts of quality management – principles
